LONDON: Mohamed Salah set another new English Premier League (EPL) record when he helped Liverpool win 35 games in a row every time he scored.
Even sweeter, the record surpasses the achievement of Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney who previously helped United win 34 games in a row every time he scored a goal.
Rooney’s record melted when Salah scored a hat-trick while helping the reigning champions beat EPL newcomer Leeds United 4-3 last night.
One scored with two of them on penalties and one on his left foot finish in the first half.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Salah admitted it was ‘very difficult to play at Anfield especially without supporters.’
Leeds put pressure on us and their intensity was so high. But we did well even though we should not have conceded three goals.
“They are a tough team and managed to score three goals against us. We need to show improvement after this,” he said.
