BARCELONA: Barcelona are reportedly planning a dream transfer offer to combine Cristiano Ronaldo with Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
The daring effort was allegedly attempted by Barcelona President Joan Laporta when she wanted to re -establish Barca’s dominance in European football.
Laporta’s priority at the moment is to convince Messi to sign a new contract amid speculation the player has been linked with moves to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
As the Argentine superstar is seen ready to hand over his future to the Catalan club, Laporta turned his attention to Ronaldo, according to US reports.
The Spanish media claimed that Messi turned down offers from other clubs that would increase his salary and that Laporta aspired to make the duo of two players who have dominated the world football stage for the past decade to face fierce competition.
Laporta is said to be offering two players for Juventus as exchange proposals, with Antoine Griezmann, Sergi Roberto and Philippe Coutinho most likely to be exchanged.
