MANCHESTER: Cristiano Ronaldo is “extremely happy” at Manchester Untied, his agent Jorge Mendes has insisted.
The 36 -year -old sacrificed a large sum of his salary to return to Old Trafford, and the Portuguese star was criticized following his disrespectful actions to fans after matches in Norwich and Newcastle.
The matter caught the attention of United’s interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, who wanted his players to improve their body language while on the pitch.
Apart from that, there is also the issue of compatibility between Ronaldo and his Manchester United teammates. Rangnick also criticized Ronaldo’s efforts while defending.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy at Manchester United. He will continue his solid and great performances as usual in his career. It will be a great season for him, I’m sure,” Mendes said.
Ronaldo finished 2021 brilliantly when he scored in a 3-1 win over Burnley.
United are currently sixth in the Premier League, and have played less than one game with two teams on top of it – West Ham and Arsenal.
