Pulisic: Salah In A Class Of His Own

LONDON: Christian Pulisic has named Mohamed Salah as the Premier League’s best player, after the Chelsea star insisted it was difficult to deny the Egyptian’s status as the best player in England.

Salah, 29, had an extraordinary season with Liverpool, after scoring 15 goals in 18 games to keep Jurgen Klopp’s squad in the hunt for the league title.

The Egyptian star has long positioned himself among the best players in the English Premier League, competing closely with Harry Kane, Bruno Fernandes and Kevin De Bruyne over the past few seasons.

But Chelsea star Pulisic claims this season Salah is in a class of his own. The United States player admired his teammates N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, but explained it was not on par with Salah.

“I think if you look at our team there are some amazing performances, you see Jorginho and N’Golo. But it’s hard to deny the greatness of Salah and what he’s already achieved. He’s in a class of his own,” Pulisic said.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has also put Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo as a tough opponent this season.

Pulisic has endured three poor seasons at Stamford Bridge with an injury hampering his performance. However, he praised his former manager while in Germany, Thomas Tuchel who managed to change the fate of Chelsea.

“It was great. I played for him a lot, first in Dortmund and now here. He built a strong team here so it’s a great thing,” he said.
