Mbappe Scored His 100th Ligue 1 Goal

PARIS: Kylian Mbappe created his 100th goal in Ligue 1 for Paris Saint-Germain with two goals in a 2-0 win over old club Monaco at the Parc des Princes this morning.

Mbappe opened the scoring through an early penalty and blasted home the second before the end of the first half when receiving a Lionel Messi pass for his 100th goal in the French premier league since moving to PSG in 2017.

The French striker who also scored 16 goals in the league while with Monaco at the start of his career.

The win allowed PSG to extend their lead in Ligue 1 to 13 points over Marseille, who won 2-0 in Strasbourg and still have one game left.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side created the win in a less than cheerful atmosphere at the Parc des Princes, with one section of the stadium closed due to punishment from club supporters who lit flares in previous matches.

“It’s a professional show and we deserve to win. Kylian is once again amazing,” Pochettino told Amazon Prime.

“We are very happy with the results achieved, but we can still improve the performance,” he said.
