MANCHESTER: Manchester United scored two world -class goals against Brentford in pre -season action at Old Trafford.
The world-class goal was contributed by Anthony Elanga and Andreas Pereira but the Red Devils had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Still, the focus is more on Aaron Wan-Bissaka who only needs 13 minutes to prove something to Charlie Austin.
The QPR striker criticized United’s right -back after playing against Wan Bissaka in the pre -season on Saturday.
He sees the former Crystal Palace player needing to be replaced when he doesn’t meet standards and doesn’t create many chances for his teammates.
Wan Bissaka performed an acrobatic cross pass that was completed by Elanga and cheered the more than 30,000 fans who were present.
Pereira, meanwhile, returned to attract fans when he blasted a volley from a distance of 25 yards after the second half continued.
Still, Brentford proved why they will be playing in the English Premier League (EPL) this season when they come back from two goals down to tie the score at 2-2.
Earlier, Austin urged United to use what was left in their transfer budget to sign Kieran Trippier.
The former Southampton striker said ‘Wan Bissaka did not meet the required standards. We played against him before, I knew it was just a pre -season match.
“But they need to do their best to get Kieran Trippier. That’s what they need right now.”
Wan Bissaka could not defend and his delivery was not what the striker needed. It (delivery) is not what Edinson Cavani or Marcus Rashford want, “added Austin.
