LONDON: Four Manchester United players, led by their captain Harry Maguire, top the list of players with the most mistakes in the English Premier League.
The 29 -year -old England defender was so badly criticized that some were willing to send death threats by claiming a bomb had been planted in his home.
Opta statistics show Maguire has made seven errors in 62 appearances since the start of the 2020-21 season thus allowing opponents to make attempts towards goal.
Nemanja Matic is second on the list with six errors in 40 games.
United center-backs Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also in the top 17 with four errors each.
Arsenal defender Gabriel and Leeds captain Luke Ayling each made six errors.
Davinson Sanchez, Adam Webster, Tyrone Mings and James Tarkowski, all playing at center -back, collected five errors.
The big group that made four errors also featured Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga who only needed 17 Premier League games to give opponents a chance to try.
These released statistics give an idea of why the teams involved are experiencing a decline in performance.
