MILAN: Romelu Lukaku exploded in both innings as Inter Milan won 3-0 against Genoa and then moved up to second place in Serie A behind Juventus who could win their ninth consecutive title early tomorrow morning.
The ambition to win the Antonio Conte title is a threat after twice dropping points against Roma and Fiorentina.
But Inter are back in front of Atalanta, and four points behind Juventus, who are looking forward to their 36th ‘Scudetto’ title when they face Sampdoria in Turin.
“The problem is how you see the glass, whether it’s half full or half empty,” Conte said of the second position.
“There is a saying you sow a little but reap a lot and you only sow and reap a little, just like this.
“But there is a number that we see clearly, which is a sense of comfort. I think the players are playing well. Of course we can and must improve.
“We will not win the league but we must finish it as best we can.”
