LONDON: Daniel Levy told Jose Mourinho he wants a trophy at Tottenham.
Spurs have not won any trophies since the 2008 League Cup and the league title was only achieved in 1961.
Its chairman, Levy, who was appointed in 2001, told the Amazon Prime documentary, All or Nothing about the club: “Tottenham when I took aliuh was a much smaller club than it is today.
“I see this club as a sleeping giant.
“We are currently in the period we need to win.
“I’m a Spurs supporter and I want to see this club continue to grow – and I want to see a trophy.”
The north London club finished sixth after Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino as manager.
Levy said: “You can’t expect what happened when you think last summer we were in the Champions League final.”
