LONDON: Jurgen Klopp is challenging Liverpool to chase four historic titles after the Reds won the League Cup final against Chelsea earlier this morning.
Klopp’s side won the first of four major trophies they can still win this season when Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga kicked high in the penalty shootout.
After failing to win any trophies last season, Klopp believes his players can use their good rhythm at Wembley to become the first England club to win all the titles.
The Reds are now six points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City with one game left, holding a 2-0 lead in the last 16 of the Champions League against Inter Milan and will await Norwich in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday.
“This is a start. We are not crazy. You need luck. We have to compete, work hard and we will play again on Wednesday, which until now I still do not believe,” said Klopp.
“Anfield will be rocked by this result and I hope we can present an enjoyable match.
“We don’t get nervous when it doesn’t go well. Now we’re more experienced.
“It’s a big thing for us. It’s the first time for this group of players. The atmosphere is amazing. It’s a great thing to celebrate with the crowd after the game.”
