TURIN: Juventus are ready to offer a lucrative contract to Cristiano Ronaldo who will see him stay with the Italian giant until the age of 38.
The Portuguese sensation star, who will turn 36 tomorrow, has scored 19 goals from 20 appearances in the Champions League and Serie A this season.
Ronaldo’s current contract with a salary of £ 540,000 a week will expire in the summer of 2022.
However, Tutto Sport claimed that Juventus will try to keep Ronaldo for another year because they believe he will still be the main asset even though he will be 38 years old at the time.
The report was quoted as saying that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes had not held talks but an initial contract had been drafted.
Ronaldo’s desire for success is still high after he was seen disappointed when he was released in the semi-final match of the Coppa Italia Cup against Inter Milan, last Tuesday.
The latest development denies the desire of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United who are interested in getting his services.
Last year Ronaldo revealed he wants to stay on the highest stage until he turns 40.
