Both the team and the supporters looked worried when De Bruyne couldn’t get up and looked uncomfortable.

City’s medical team continued to rush into the pitch and Kyle Walker knelt next to De Bruyne as he received treatment.

De Bruyne confirmed the extent of his injury via Twitter upon completing ‘my diagnosis there was an acute live bone injury and a fracture in the left orbital region. I feel better now.’

“Very disappointed with yesterday’s result but we will bounce back.”

De Bruyne’s fate to the Euro Championship is uncertain as the competition will start in two weeks and Belgium’s first match against Russia on June 12.
